Less setup before the first useful moment
Account creation adds decisions before a habit tracker has earned trust: which email to use, whether to accept marketing, how to create another password, and whether the routine really belongs in a cloud service.
Elegant Habits removes that gate. You can select a starter routine or create your own, choose a schedule, and begin tracking without an email address or social login. That makes the first-run experience faster and keeps the product focused on the behavior you came to practice.
Account-free does not mean feature-free
You can create binary or measured habits, schedule them daily, on selected weekdays, or a chosen number of times per week, and turn on reminders only where they help. The Today screen keeps check-ins fast while detail and Stats views preserve the longer pattern.
CSV export is available on every plan. Optional Pro purchases are managed by Apple, so restoring a purchase does not require a separate Elegant Habits profile.
Know the local-storage tradeoff
A no-account design avoids a central habit-history database, but it also means there is no Elegant Habits cloud account waiting to restore deleted data. If you plan to remove the app or want an external record, export your history first.
This is a deliberate exchange: less collection and less signup friction, with clear user control over when data leaves the app.
